I have graduated from Southeastern Europe College in Athens in business administration and marketing studies. In my life, I was always curious and had the urge to travel and experience other places and cultures in the world. I speak English, French, Italian and German.
My first job was at an information technologies firm in Athens and advances in digital media continue to interest me, as long as they are in favour of human life and respectful to the environment. I am a founding member of Innovaros group, (aims for the promotion of sustainable development of Paros with innovative ideas and emerging technologies) -The concept of Innovaros was born from my meeting with Smoothmedia Director Chris Brauer in Athens in February, 2010 following his presentation on emergent identities in social media at the IMIC 2010 conference. I then suggested we work together to create and develop means for Paros to protect and promote the unique identity of the island through the use of emergent digital media communication and technologies. As a result of this, Smoothmedia in collaboration with Perantinos Travel & Tourism and Innovaros, is presenting every year SmoothParos, a two-day workshop on emerging technologies and sustainable development . My origin is from Paros, both my parents come from Marpissa, a lovely village. I own and manage Perantinos Travel and Tourism agency now for many years (countless...), which was a family business I further developed. In 2011, inspired by my good friends and Jazz lovers , Ian and Mel Mc Laren and from my will to expand Perantinos Travel & Tourism ventures, I founded Paros Jazz Academy and Festival with the collaboration of a great Jazz musician Marc Buronfosse and the association ACE (Arts Culture Europe). So a new journey has began for me and a fantastic venture into music... I like my job very much, it is challenging and it gives me the opportunity to be creative and also to meet a lot of interesting people. I am married to Antonio D’Angelo, we live in Athens and have 2 children. My family loves Paros as much as I do. We try to spend there as much time as possible. |
